Hello Members,
Our new season of athletics starts tomorrow night. We hope you are excited to be on the track at Jack Eddy Oval!
Start time is 5:30pm.
The ground at Jack Eddy Oval is still quite wet due to the recent rain. We have therefore modified the program to suit and depending on the condition of the grounds tomorrow night, some events may need to be modified further.
Registered Athletes
Registered athletes are to bring their ID patch and pin it to the front of their top. Registered athletes who have not picked up their ID patch will be able to pick them up beforehand tomorrow night.
Trial Athletes
Please bring your trial paper patch that you should have received after registering as a trial via email. Trial athletes will need to check their name off the trial athlete list.
Uniform
All financial members will receive a new singlet thanks to our very generous sponsor Moama Bowling Club. The singlets are in the process of being made and are still a few weeks away. In the meantime, athletes can wear whatever they are comfortable in and that is suitable for athletics.
Age Group Leaders
We will be seeking age group leaders for each age group, boys and girls. If groups do not have a leader, they cannot participate. Thank you to those people who have put their hand up already to take on this role for the season.
Age Group Leader Information: An Age Group Leader is someone who is a go to person for the parents and athletes of that age group. This leader may choose to chaperone each week or they may wish to make a roster of parents so everyone has a go. It is completely up to them (a perk of the position). It does make the night run more smoothly and is very helpful. Regardless of this position age groups need at least 3 parents to help officiate each event. i.e., spike, measure, record.
BBQ and Canteen
A sausage sizzle and drinks will be available for purchase from our canteen. Cash and eftpos available.
